A few weeks ago, I was checking the stats for this blog, as I do every morning as part of my daily routine, and I was surprised to see this pink bar shooting way above the other bars for the prior six days. (The two short bars are weekend days; I don’t get a ton of traffic on the weekends.)

I can only surmise that someone came to my blog and proceeded to read an awful lot of it.

I know there’s some good stuff here; there’s previews from all of my books, plus unpublished works, and there’s lots of personal stories and reflections on my life and my journey through BDSM. There’s also some not-so-great posts, and some straight-up whining (because I’m human, and I have down days from time to time).

But it’s still gratifying when I see someone read through the archives. Hopefully whoever it was enjoyed themselves. They didn’t leave any comments or like any posts, which is a little disheartening, but I can tell from the graph that they spent a lot of time on the blog.

If only I’d bothered to monetize it with ads…

Nah. Don’t worry. I’m not planning to do that. Like I’ve said in the past, I’m not in this to make money; I’m in it to make my readers feel things, and hopefully for them to tell me how said things made them feel. Book reviews are great, but blog comments make me happy too.
