For years I’ve been trying to write a group of stories about superheroes having sex. I say “a group” because there are about a half-dozen half-started pieces in a folder. I’ve never managed to finish any of them.

But last week I did finish a new one. It’s called “Professor Pain Meets the Unstoppable Force”, and I’m going to be performing it this Friday night at Frolicon. Not the entire thing — that would take too long, since it’s 3250 words, but a chunk of it. I’m not going to preview it here, not until after the con, but suffice it to say that I had a very good time writing it.

I will say that I hand-wrote the first part of the original draft, and in it, Professor Pain had a lair and henchmen. However, upon revisions, I decided to make him a retired supervillain. It was easier that way. Plus, there’s quite a bit of “two people discussing things” before we get to the good parts, and I wanted to abridge that as much as possible.

Also, it’s a M/M story, which I know isn’t some people’s cup of tea. But when you make your main character a bisexual man, these things happen.

Anyway, come to the Bedtime Stories event at Frolicon and you can hear some of the story. Then, next week, I’ll post a chunk or two here on the blog, for your enjoyment. So you’ve got that to look forward to.
