30 Days of Kink, Day 17: What misconception about kinky people would you most like to clear up?

Kink isn’t always a big production. There aren’t always elaborate rope ties, or St Andrews crosses, or background music with thumping bass beats, and there’s almost never a “red room”. Often kink is two people who care about each other in some way (or who have entered into a temporary arrangement) who might add dominance and submission to their play, or spank each other on a regular basis with something simple like a wooden spoon (instead of a custom-made paddle), or sit down with all the intent to have a huge scene together because the kids are at grandma’s and there’s wine and a nice dinner and they just end up cuddling on the couch because it’s so nice to spend some time together alone.
