30 Days of Kink, Day 16: What are the most difficult aspects of having a sexuality that involves kink or BDSM for you personally?

It adds another layer to finding partners. As a kinky person, you basically have two choices:

1. Find a kinky person and hope they have the same non-kink interests as you.
2. Find a person with the same non-kink interests as you and hope they are either already kinky or are open to it.

It’s really hard sometimes. I’m lucky to have a wife and a girlfriend who I love, who have similar interests and kinks as I do, and who are willing to try new things when I want to try them. After spending more than a decade with someone for whom I back-burnered my kinky desires because I thought I loved her enough, it’s a welcome change.
