I mentioned recently that I had to say goodbye to my MacBook Pro after nine years. While I was transferring files over to my new laptop, I came across some folders of porn that I forgot I had. See, back in the day, before it was easy to watch porn videos on tube sites like PornHub and SpankBang, people used to have to actually download porn and save it on their computers. I actually used to have a metric fuckton of porn, but I backed most of it up onto DVDs and eventually threw them away when I realized I would never watch them again. More fool I, because if I’d really been thinking, I would’ve kept it on one of my many, many external hard drives. Not that I have a lot of time to watch porn anymore, but sometimes the urge strikes and I don’t feel like scrolling through dozens of videos, trying to find one I can masturbate to (not that I really masturbate anymore).
That’s where the folders of porn come in. Specifically, the folder entitled fav, which has videos that I know I’m going to enjoy watching. Two of them are the source material for the Chloe and Paula series that I shared some time ago. Four of them are from Southeastern Woodshed. One is a pretty standard video where a girl sits down next to a guy, he takes out his huge cock, and she says “let me move my purse to make room for your penis.” That one makes me chuckle every time. There’s some nice cumshot videos.
But here’s the thing: I haven’t actually watched any of these videos (except the Southeastern Woodshed ones) in a long, long time. So why do I keep the other ones, and all the non-favorited ones in the other folders? Am I a digital hoarder, afraid to let things go? Or is it a form of nostalgia that I can’t say goodbye to? Men of a certain age who were nerdy in their teens, twenties, and thirties undoubtedly have plenty of porn saved on their computers somewhere, even if they don’t watch it.
I’m sure someday I’ll back these videos up onto an external drive and get rid of them, freeing up lots of space on my computer. At least, I think I’m sure.

Still from a video by Southeastern Woodshed.
