30 Days of Writing, Day 23 → How long does it usu­ally take you to complete an entire story?

Depends upon the length, and upon my inspiration. In 2012 I wrote almost 200,000 words of fanfic, as well as the better part of a 120,000-word novel. Shell Game, which was 140,000 words before it was split into two volumes, took about six months.
