30 Days of Kink, Day 23: Since you first developed an interest in kink, have your interests/perspectives changed? How so?

I discovered mostly that, while I don’t need to be doing BDSM 100 percent of the time to be happy, I need to be with someone who is 100 percent dedicated to being in a BDSM relationship. Also, with the advent of social networks like Tumblr and FetLife, it’s easier (though not “easy”) to find someone whose kinks match yours. There’s enough that goes into starting a relationship without having to figure out if your kinks match, and there’s little as disappointing as realizing you really like someone and then figuring out that said someone isn’t into your top kink. (That’s happened to a friend of mine; she wants domestic discipline from her partner, and while he loves to spank her, he has issues making the jump to DD. They adore each other, but she’s worried that he won’t make it to where she needs him to be.)
