I did say there would be more GWWA books. I just wasn’t expecting to start on one so quickly.
Basically, I wrote yesterday’s post (a few days ago; as you know I always queue up my posts), and that meant my brain was on the topic of spanking and pro wrestling. I wrote the post after I finished editing the first GWWA book — draft 3 is now done; it’s time to move to draft 4, which should be the final draft. I’ve already given some thought to future GWWA books — what they’d be about, what would happen, etc. I was fairly sure what would happen in book two, and I had a good idea for book three but no conflict (yet). Book four will probably be the conclusion, because I don’t think I’ll be able to write any more about Shannon (the main character) after that point.
I went and looked at the outline I’d generated for book two, and decided I didn’t like it. I started writing some ideas and came up with three story beats, including what the final match of the book would look like (or, at least, how it would end). I also knew how the wrestling would impact the spanking relationship Shannon had built in the first book. Logically in my brain that aimed in a domestic discipline direction, but as she says in the first book, Shannon’s not into that, or really any type of role-playing at all. So I had to make some changes.
I worked on the outline for about an hour, until I had something I could use. Like many of my other outlines, it’s in paragraph form; however, this time around I didn’t include chapter numbers. When I wrote the first GWWA book, I wrote it without chapters; I just sat down and wrote, and kept writing, and threw in some scene breaks when they were appropriate. That’s how I’m planning to write the second one.
Well, that afternoon at work I had two meetings get cancelled, so I really didn’t have much to do. I mean, there was work I could be doing, I guess, but I didn’t really feel like it. I felt like being creative. So I started the second GWWA book.
3443 words later, I had a wrestling scene and a spanking scene done. So I guess this book is happening.
The first one should be out by GASP. That’s my plan, anyway. Then maybe one per year until I have all four published.
Of course, now that I stated my plan out loud (so to speak), I’m sure I’ll find reasons to delay or not write at all. Because I know myself.
Wish me luck!
