Blackout

I was going down on Partner 1 a few nights ago and, afterward, she said she blacked out for a moment due to overwhelming pleasure. I don’t say this to brag (maybe just preen), but to lead into a rumination on levels of pleasure.

I’ve never blacked out due to sexual pleasure. In fact, the only times I’ve blacked out (that I can recall) are when I’ve been ill. Which isn’t to say that I don’t feel immense pleasure when I’m having sex, or doing other things (finishing a book can be very pleasurable); it’s just that I’m not wired that way, I guess.

Plus, there are some times during the moment of orgasm where I don’t fully let go. When I’m inside someone while orgasming, I do. However, as I may or may not have mentioned here, my orgasms are rather copious and powerful; not everyone’s gag reflex can manage that. So, as much as I love coming in someone’s mouth, I always feel a little bit of concern edging into the orgasm because I’m worried they’re going to gag — or, really, be in any way uncomfortable — when I flood their mouth with my come. Should I trigger someone’s gag reflex, I am taken out of the pleasure of the orgasm and I focus instead on the other person — which, to me, is a form of pleasure in itself; I get pleasure from focusing on someone else, from caring for them. It’s not the same as sexual pleasure — just as spanking someone for discipline is fulfilling in a different way from spanking them for fun — but it’s a pleasure nonetheless.

Plus, there’s a little preening that goes on. Not gonna lie. I’ve seen a nonzero number of male orgasms (I used to watch a lot of porn, and even now I still see them occasionally when they come up in my Reddit feed) and not all of them are as powerful as mine are. Which isn’t to say I want to be in porn, or share amateur videos of my orgasms — I really don’t — but it’s nice to know.

Back to the topic of blacking out — if I ever am to black out from sexual pleasure, I’d want it to be because my partner is sitting on my face and I can’t breathe. That’s unsafe, of course — any form of breath play is inherently unsafe, and playing until one loses consciousness is hazardous in the extreme — but that doesn’t change the fact that, if it was going to happen, that’s the way I’d want it to happen: giving pleasure to someone else.
