As you know, I’ve been looking for a replacement for the Walmart Spoon. Well, I decided to try the updated version that Walmart sells, and I ordered one (and promptly forgot about it until it arrived).

We gave it a try and it seemed to work. Or, at least, it hasn’t broken during hard swats.

Unfortunately, it’s neither finished nor sealed, which means when you rub your fingers along the back of it it feels splintery. So, probably not the best spoon for spanking.

Also probably not the best spoon for cooking; the last thing you want is for your wooden cooking spoon to get uncleanably-dirty due to sauces or whatever permeating it.

The quest for a new spoon continues!

Edited to add: A week or so later (I wrote this post about ten days ago) we tried the spoon again and it cracked. Alas.
