I was at the dungeon recently and I noticed that, for the most part, when doing impact, people tended not to do even numbers of impacts. 

How??? 

Am I the only person who needs to keep things even and symmetrical? Am I the only one who keeps count in their head? Am I just weird? 

I watched Partner 1 do a scene with someone else, and he was one of those “spank with both hands repeatedly across the entire target area” guys. Which is all well and good, but it’s just not my style. That said, when I do that, I still keep count and do an even number of swats as well as the same number of swats on both sides. Now, when he switched to implements, more than once he did a rhythm, which I approve of (and have done myself on multiple occasions), but when it came to the hand spanking portion of the evening he just… Did it. 

I’ve seen the same thing happen at spanking parties. At Oasis last Labor Day I was seated next to a relatively well-known spanker at their version of Spanky Hawkins and more than once I saw him start a spanking with: R, R, L, L, L, R, R, R, R, L, L, R, R, L, R, L, L, L, R — or something like that. Basically he just sort of spanks and lets the chips (hands) fall where they may. That’s his style, and I don’t have anything against him, but I just don’t understand. 

When I bottom to my long-distance partner, I tend to keep count of how many swats/strokes she gives me, and it’s almost always an odd number, especially with her hand. It’s almost distracting, trying to keep count, because I never know exactly how many she’s going to do. Whereas, with me, it’s almost always a multiple of four — 4, 8, 20, 40, 80, 100. The most common numbers are 8 and 40, in case you were interested. 

I find that when I write a spanking, I tend to have my spankers alternate pretty evenly. It’s probably because I feel the need to be symmetrical and have even numbers in the spankings I give. I’ve tried it the other way but I just keep falling into the same patterns of even numbers and symmetry.
