My friend who sends me badly-written woman characters sent me another gem:

Like… where do I even begin? What does this woman look like? Is this the author’s way of trying to tell us she’s curvy? How tall is she? Why is she wearing five-inch heels? How can the POV character see the lack of panty lines from half a block away? I mean, sure, I look for women’s panty lines sometimes too, but I usually have to be within ten or so feet to really get a read on what kind of panties she’s wearing (or not). And by the way it’s hard to tell panty lines in black checked slacks — solid colors are better for that.

And as for the whole “horny rabbits” thing…

This little bunny shows up in my backyard from time to time. Does he look horny to you? I don’t think so. Nor can I imagine him looking like a boob, even if he was shrouded by fabric.

I almost — almost — want to read more of this book to see why the POV character is the way he is. But I have better things to do.
