GWWA: First Draft Done!

Ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinary people, coming down the aisle, weighing in at just over 64,500 words, it’s the first draft of JJ Rose’s pro-wrestling/spanking novel!

Yup. I finished it.

Here’s a sex scene from it:

Aidan didn’t stop for a while, not until Shannon could barely breathe, not until she put her hand down and pushed his head away. A moment later he was on the bed with her, gathering her up into his arms. She was dimly aware that he must have taken off his shirt, because she was resting her head on his bare shoulder. “You okay?” he asked softly.

Shannon managed a nod. “Why…” She swallowed hard. “Why didn’t you…”

“Fuck you?” Aidan said when it became clear Shannon wasn’t going to be able to say the words.

“Yeah.”

He shrugged. “You seemed to need a break. That was a lot of stimulation.”

“Yeah,” she said again. “My ass is on fire [echo].”

“Not surprised. I wasn’t holding back.”

“I could tell.”

“Could you though?” She heard the grin in his voice and shook her head. “That’s what I thought. How did you feel about that position?”

Shannon considered the question. Last time Aidan had used the strap, she’d been bent over the bed. “Vulnerable,” she managed to say. “Also, it hurt more.”

“Your skin was stretched in that position.”

“Huh.” That made sense.

Aidan smoothed his hand over her hair, which was pulled back into a ponytail. A few strands had escaped and were stuck to her forehead, which was damp from exertion. And wasn’t that strange? She hadn’t done anything but take a spanking; why was she sweating?

Shannon ran her hand down Aidan’s body and over the front of his jeans. She could feel that he was at least half-hard. “Can you take these off?”

“Sure.” Aidan undid his belt and pulled away from Shannon so he could shimmy out of his jeans and underwear. She took hold of him and felt him grow in her hand. “What do you want to do?”

“Can I be on top this time?”

“I don’t see why not.” The brightness in his eyes – – she was looking at his face now – – told her just how much he liked the idea. “One sec.” He turned onto his side, going into the drawer in the nightstand. Once the condom was on, Shannon struggled up to her knees and threw one leg over his hips. Slowly, gently, she eased him inside her, until he was buried, until her clit was pressing against the base of him. “Oh, fuck,” he whispered.

Shannon smiled down at him and rocked her hips a little.

“Oh, fuck!” Louder this time.

Shannon rode him carefully, trying to keep her backside from bouncing against him, but it wasn’t easy; he felt so good inside her, and his hands were on her breasts, his thumbs teasing her nipples. She put her weight against him, leaning, and Aidan held her up as she moved her hips back and forth, feeling him just barely brushing over that spot inside her [echo]. It [felt] wonderful, but she wanted more.

She leaned down, her mouth close to his. She kissed him briefly – – barely realizing that this was their first kiss – – and whispered: “Fuck me.”

I’m not 100% thrilled with the way I ended the book — y’know how at the end of Return of the King (the movie, not the book) it seems like things are going to end, but they never quite do. Like, too many denouements. That’s sort of what happened as I wrote the ending — I found a good place to stop, but it didn’t quite wind up the story the way I wanted it to. So I wrote another scene, and another, and another, and finally was like “the hell with this” and just came up with something to end the book. I’m sure I’ll be fixing it in post-production, but then, that’s what first drafts are for, right?
