Yesterday I posted the results of a hard scene with Partner 1. Although it was a successful, enjoyable scene for both of us, it didn’t last as long as you might think. About half an hour, tops. She could’ve gone even longer in terms of her mental stamina, but her physical stamina — that is, the condition of her backside — made me call it. When you spank someone too hard, especially with wooden implements, they can get firm areas under their skin, and if you continue to spank those areas, you are more likely to break the skin. It sucks, because both of you want to keep going, but you can’t — unless, that is, you’ve negotiated blood as a result of the spanking and you have toys that are either fluid-bonded or sealed and cleanable.
There’s someone I play with from time to time who is also a very hard player, and on several occasions I’ve broken her skin. Not because we want to, but because we play hard and it happens, and some people’s skin just breaks. It is what it is. Usually we slap a band-aid on it and continue, with me aiming away from those areas. That’s because we’ve negotiated it and she still wants to play. However, I play with someone else who, the moment there is blood, the scene ends. I’ve never made her bleed, but other people have.
The trouble with playing hard is that it can lead to unwelcome results — blood, firm skin, needing to stop before either party wants to. If you’re going to play hard with someone, this is information you need to keep in your mind and be prepared to act upon.
