I really wish I had permission to share some of the results photos of my scenes with the person upon whom this cane was broken. She bruised up amazingly. One time, though, we were doing a front-of-thigh scene and the final piece was with this lexan cane. After one particularly-hard lick, the end of it snapped off and flew across the room. Clearly it was the end of that cane’s life, which was too bad; I rather enjoyed using it.

And, finally, an honorable mention:

Specifically here I’m looking at the blue-and-green implement, made by Penguin After Dark and called a “mic drop” — presumably because it looks like a microphone. This picture was taken at Lone Star 2023, which to the best of my knowledge is not when the mic drop broke. Partner 1 and I were using it one time, and I was hitting her hard with it — because she likes that — when the ball at the end flew off and bounced across the room. It was most amusing, and since then Partner 1 has fixed the implement so the ball won’t fly off again, but still… at least it was fixable in the first place.

Honorable Mention #2: I bought this tawse off Etsy, and I really like it, but the ends are starting to get a bit frayed and it’s starting to become unusable. I’m on the lookout for another tawse like it, but I’m not sure I’ll find one. I guess I could check my Etsy records and just get another one of these, if they’re still selling them. (I just checked and sadly not only is the item not available but the entire Etsy storefront where I got it is gone. Sad times.)
