As I’ve mentioned in the past, I also write sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and mystery under a different pseudonym. To keep them distinct, I don’t link to those books here, but I did want to share a nice review I got recently. It’s in the form of texts, from my daughter’s English Composition teacher at college.

she said she cried when the [spoiler] couldn’t [spoiler] anymore

she also really liked the descriptive detail

she was like super into it

Aww. I love it when my writing moves someone emotionally, and I did write that scene with an emotional gut-punch for a reason.

I wish I had a sequel to give to this teacher, but I finished that book eight years ago (actually ten, but published eight years ago) and never quite got back to it. Oh well.
