You might at some point have read the first (and probably only) published book in my Detective Daddy series, Detective Daddy and the Puppy’s Outing. I originally wrote these stories in 2014 and 2015, but I set them in 2014. When I published DDPO I reset the dates to 2021, but I didn’t bother doing that for the rest of the stories because, honestly, I probably wasn’t going to publish them. They were good in their way, but not good enough to go through the Smashwords (now Draft2Digital) publication process — the formatting of those books takes a lot longer and a lot more work than doing it for Kindle. And I am loath to put them on Kindle because they refer to “Daddy” very often in the text, and while the characters are clearly adults sometimes Amazon takes a darker view of books where “Daddy” appears. I’ve gotten away with it so far in a few pieces, but I’m not going to risk getting dungeoned.
So you get the benefit of that. Since I’m traveling during the next two weeks for work, I decided to publish the second and third Detective Daddy novellas here on the blog. Next week (January 20-24) will be the second story, and the week after (January 27-31) will be the third.
Some of the characters in these stories do appear in Holiday Heat; since these stories are not “officially” published, they are not canon, so anything you read in these two does not fit into the Spanking Connected Universe. It’s kind of like how Star Trek tie-in novels in the 1900s weren’t considered canon, but they were still enjoyable adventures all the same.
If you’d like to prepare yourself for the next two weeks, I encourage you to grab a copy of Detective Daddy and the Puppy’s Outing. It’s only 99 cents, and is available in most file types. You can even email it to your Kindle or Kindle App if you want to read it that way, although personally — at least, as an Android user — I prefer Moon+ Reader. I actually purchased the pro version some years ago, and I find it to be one of the best reading apps around. I’m not getting paid to say that, by the way; it’s how I really feel.
And just in case you haven’t bothered to click through to the Smashwords page, here’s the DDPO cover for you:

Enjoy the stories, and I’ll be back in a few weeks!
