I don’t mean to be whiny, but…

I don’t mean to be whiny, but things haven’t been going so great for me in the writing arena lately. I’ve had trouble creating posts for this blog, and I haven’t written anything on Holiday Heat in weeks. That’s probably because I’m still out of work and haven’t had much luck with interviews in months. The job market is tough, no matter what the indicators say. I want to work, but it seems like no one wants to hire me — or, at least, their ATSes don’t. All the job applying is wearing me down something fierce, and making it hard to write, something I talk about a little more in the author’s note for Holiday Heat: August.

It might help if someone were to give me a positive review of one of my books. I’ve had two reviews so far this year, which is a little demoralizing in and of itself, especially since I know (from checking my Amazon stats) that people are actually buying and reading the things I’m putting out. Or, if not a review, at least a rating would be nice — I check those too. And if you don’t like Amazon, you’re welcome to review on Goodreads instead, which I also check from time to time.

So, y’know, if you have a minute, maybe you could help me out? Please?
