I was looking for something on the Googles when I came across this 2017 article on YourTango by Danielle Page, about how she and a friend visited a SCONY spanking party and what their experience was like. It was a fun little read, but something I noticed was that the whole subject was tackled very tongue-in-cheek (and not the good way). One thing that stuck out to me:
After watching Andrea go first, I thought I knew what I was in for. But when I went to stand over the chair the way that she had, Nick shook his head. He sat down on one of the chairs, then took me over his lap like a child, and proceeded to spank my tail-feather.
Tail-feather? Really? You’re a grown-ass adult; use the word “ass” or “butt”.
Also, Danielle indicated that after eight or nine swats she asked the top to stop spanking her. That suggests to me that this Nick person was going way too hard; I’ve given a few first spankings in my time, and although I generally like to spank hard, I don’t go hard when it’s someone’s first time, and I don’t go hard when it’s someone’s first time with me (at least, not at first).
Clearly this experience wasn’t Danielle’s cup of tea, and that’s perfectly fine, but writing about it as if it’s a silly or ridiculous experience isn’t going to endear people to it. If you’re going to try going to a spanking party for the first time, be honest and straightforward when you write about it. Your readers will thank you.
