No, seriously, it’s not an ad. But I have to post about this somewhere.

About ten years ago, I bought some boxers at Costco. They were Hathaway brand, and they were the best boxers I’d ever worn. Some years later, I discovered they went out of business and I managed to find a few pairs on eBay. But that was the last I ever heard of them. Since then, I’ve been going mad trying to find a pair of boxers that fit well, were comfortable, and had a fly that was the right location for me to use. That last one… I don’t know if it’s the way I wear boxers, or the shape of my body, or what, but I’ve tried too many pairs that make it difficult for me to use the bathroom.

Enter Bamboo Cool. I found these boxers on sale at Amazon a few weeks ago and figured I’d give them a shot. They finally arrived, and I put on a pair, and damn. Not only do they fit, not only are they comfortable, but the fly is in the right location.

No, seriously, that’s how I felt when I put these on. It took me far longer than it should have to find boxers that met my specifications. Annoyingly, these are $50 at their regular price for a pack of four (I got them for $32 I believe, plus tax). So I’ll be on the lookout for price drops. But it’s so nice to have finally found a worthy successor to my Hathaways. Now I can finally start replacing these old — but still quite serviceable — boxers. (Oh, and by the way, I know there are some on eBay, but they don’t have my size. If you’re looking for a great pair of boxers, though, I can recommend getting as many of the Hathaways as you can before they’re gone.)

I just checked the Bamboo Cool website and they don’t even list the boxers I’m wearing right now as an option to buy. I think I’m going to have to shell out for some more on Amazon before they’re all gone. Oh well. Money well spent.
