I saw an article recently on Fetlife called “Some Benefits of Pegging”. It lists the benefits as:

• Power
• Humiliation
• Chastity
• Rejection
• Masturbation
• Knickers
• Milking
• More Humiliation
• Cruelty

There are others, but those are some of the major ones.

And I disagree with every single one.

Now, I’m not the only person out there who likes to be pegged, and I’m sure there are many men who are into things in that list. But for me, pegging isn’t about submission; it’s about pleasure. It’s about doing something with a partner that she likes, which I also happen to like. It’s about being put in a position I’m not normally in so I can experience how good it feels (I wrote about this recently). I don’t like to be dominated; it doesn’t do anything for me. Pegging is traditionally seen as a dominant woman/submissive man thing. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, the person who pegged me most recently is a switch, and while she is capable of being dominant, when she tops and I bottom I’m not submissive to her in any way. (She usually isn’t submissive to me either when she bottoms, although there are a few things that fall into that category.) It’s similar to how some people say that giving cunnilingus “can’t” be a dominant act. Well fuck that; just because I want to give oral pleasure to someone doesn’t make me a bottom or a submissive. I am making the decision to do it, and I am in control when it happens.

I wish there could be more posts, videos, and photos of pegging that don’t focus on female dominance, but instead focus on how it can be a fun, pleasurable activity for both people. I think more men might be willing to try if they knew they weren’t going to be belittled or dominated. Maybe that comes later, but that’s not how you start.
