Saturday was the ten-year anniversary of my presence on the web as JJ Rose.
It all started when Shell Game was picked up by a publisher and I realized I needed to be online so readers could learn more. I started a Tumblr, because back in the day that was the cool thing to do, and my very first post was a quick bio. I followed that up with 30 Days of Kink, which I have since re-answered to update my feelings on certain things. Then I started talking about writing, about my books, and about events that I attended.
And then I switched over to WordPress, and during the pandemic I started making an effort to write a new post every weekday. It’s difficult, but I like a challenge. I’ve posted parts of my writing; I’ve talked about my experiences and my thoughts on spanking, kink, polyamory, and even the return-to-office mandate that so many companies are instituting. I’ve asked readers to preorder my books, and then to review them. And, occasionally (okay, more than occasionally), I’ve complained about writers’ block and the amount of creativity I have in a day.
It’s been a good ten years, overall. I’m quite curious what the next ten will bring.
